Thank you for your interest in the Norton Healthcare High School Academy Program. We feel very fortunate that you have chosen us for this opportunity! The Norton Healthcare High School Academy Program is designed for high school students who have an interest in pursuing a health care career.
As a high school junior, Ester Cuc Chamorro was encouraged by a teacher to apply to Norton Healthcare High School Academy. Find out how you can participate.
Participants will receive hands-on experience during their senior year of high school while working 12 hours a week as interns alongside an experienced Norton Healthcare employee. Positions are paid but not eligible for benefits.
The program runs through the fall and spring semesters of the academic school year. Job offers are dependent on successful completion of preemployment requirements. Once hired, interns must complete Norton Healthcare onboarding requirements.

Interns can work in a variety of health care settings, based on their position:
Norton Healthcare High School Academy Program interns will have access to symposiums, career coaching resources, job shadowing opportunities and career exploration.

If selected for a position in Norton Healthcare’s program, you will need to complete the following:
1. Confidentiality and Parent Attestation forms signed by you (Parent/guardian must co-sign if you are under 18.) 2. Employee Health new hire appointment, completed by your start date for the program. For this appointment, you need to bring the following:
a. Immunization records
b. Proof of negative tuberculosis (TB) test
3. Preemployment requirements
