Community Benefit

The “N” in our logo is a symbol of compassionate, quality care. It’s why each year more than 600,000 people look for the “N” when they need health care services. It’s also why our community calls on us for support.

As part of our commitment to improving the health of our community, we provide funding for many services that benefit the public. This includes charity care and unpaid Medicaid costs for patients who couldn’t afford necessary health care. Year over year, our total community benefit contribution is valued at more than $125 million.

Our dedicated employees also contribute to the community benefit. Each year they donate tens of thousands of hours of community service, a benefit valued at more than $1.5 million in 2023. Other areas of support include:

  • Scholarships and educational assistance
  • Sponsorships of community programs
  • Community cancer initiatives
  • Community services activities
