For the second year in a row, Norton Healthcare has been named seventh nationally — and the highest in Kentucky — among large organizations (5,000-plus U.S. employees) on the Best Places to Work in IT list by IDG Insider Pro and Computerworld.

The annual list of top 100 organizations (52 large, 25 midsize and 23 small) is compiled based on benefits, career development, training, retention, as well as a survey of information technology (IT) workers.

“Health care increasingly relies on information services. I am proud of the team we have built at Norton Healthcare to support the growing technology needs of our organization. During the recent COVID-19 pandemic, our ability to be nimble to quickly respond during a crisis was instrumental in meeting the rapidly changing needs of our organization, our patients and our community,” said Steve L. Ready, senior vice president and chief information officer, Norton Healthcare. “As an organization, we strive to provide important opportunities for career development and training to allow our employees to grow and become high performers within our system. We continually work with human resources to ensure we are meeting the needs of our team members in the ever-changing world of technology.”

“As technology continues to evolve more rapidly than ever, attracting and retaining top IT talent to research, deploy and maintain that technology has never been more important or more challenging,” said Mark Lewis, vice president, audience development, IDG Insider Pro. “Companies that have earned a spot on the Insider Pro and Computerworld 2020 Best Place to Work in IT list share a common denominator: They create an environment that not only rewards workers with competitive compensation and benefits, but they also foster a spirit of diversity, social responsibility, training and innovation.”

MyNortonChart makes scheduling an appointment with your Norton Healthcare provider easier than ever. This service can be accessed conveniently from the mobile app or from a computer.

MyChart Mobile App

  • The MyChart app is available for download on all Android and IOS devices.
  • If you are using the app for the first time: Select “Norton Healthcare” from the list of organizations.
  • Log in to your existing MyNortonChart account, or sign up to create a new account.
  • In the top right corner of the app, access your account settings. Check to make sure that your contact information is up to date, especially your phone number. Your provider’s office may need to reach you to inform you of any changes or updates to your appointment time.
  • In the top right corner, select the appointments icon. Touch the box on the bottom of the screen that says “Schedule an appointment.”
  • You will have the options of scheduling with a provider that you’ve seen before, or selecting “Tell us why you’re coming in” to view more appointment options. If you choose the “Tell us why you’re coming in” option, there are also Norton eCare video visit appointments available on this page.
  • Select a date and time that work best for you. After doing so, you will be prompted to review your patient information and appointment instructions.
  • Fill in the text box to indicate the most important thing you want addressed during your visit. This helps the provider better understand the reason for your appointment.
  • Tap the “schedule” button at the bottom of the page. You also will have the option of being put on a waitlist for an earlier appointment. If you want to choose this option, tap your future appointment and select “Get on Wait List.” You will be notified if an earlier option becomes available.

  • Begin by visiting NortonHealthcare.com/MyChart.
  • Log in to your existing MyNortonChart account, or sign up to create a new account.

  • Select a date and time that work best for you. After doing so, you will be prompted to review your patient information and appointment instructions.
  • In the additional details box you have the option of providing more information about the nature of your visit.
  • Click “Schedule” to confirm your appointment.
  • On the “Appointments and Visits” page you can add yourself to a waitlist for an earlier appointment. Click on your upcoming visit and select “Get on the Wait List.” You will be notified if an earlier option becomes available.
